The cost of medications is one of the TOP reasons why those with Bipolar Disorder (and other illnesses) quit taking their meds. This is a huge problem and a common outcry among so many people on my channel. The good news is that there are so many resources that most people don’t even know about! It’s not like the big pharmaceutical companies advertise “free meds.” I did a lot of digging and would like to share some of the resources I’ve found with my fellow Polar Warriors.
There’s no “perfect and easy” solution to this problem or everyone would be getting discounted or free medications. It might take a little effort to sign up or apply for some of these resources, but if they can get you the care you DESERVE, it’s effort well spent. When I’m ill, it can be hard to go online and do what’s required to get these processes going. If you have family or friends who can help you with this process, take advantage of that. If you don’t have help, you may have to wait until you are feeling a little better to dedicate your energy to this process.
I will continue to work as hard as I can to provide others with the information, care, and resources they need to live a healthier, more fulfilling life with Bipolar Disorder. That’s why I started this channel and I hope this video helps some of you!
