Welcome to another Bipolar Disorder support video from Polar Warriors! Taking “self-care” is something we hear a lot. We all know that it’s important to take self-care, but it’s not quite as easy as it might sound to most people. Sometimes the most basic things like taking a shower can be literally painful when we aren’t well. Those of us who live with Bipolar Disorder know this very well.
In this video, I wanted to share a quick story that relates to the struggles of self-care and Bipolar Disorder. I’m also going to talk about a few different ways to approach self-care when times get tough.
As always, I hope that this video helps others out there who struggle with Bipolar Disorder. If there is something that you do for personal self-care that you feel would help others, please join the conversation in the comments! Polar Warriors is a “Community” and we’re all in this together. You are NOT alone and very welcome here.
Welcome Polar Warriors! I truly hope you enjoy my videos and remember to subscribe on YouTube so you don’t miss a video that could help change your life! Want to get social? Check out Polar Warriors on Facebook!

Hi I’ve been avoiding owning the diagnosis of bipolar affect disorder All the great advice and I know just do it.
Thank you for doing this. I created and organize a listening room for original music every Tuesday. I fought thru obstacles to create my vision. After 2 1/2 years I remain a friendly but distance person with the people who come and go. Wonderful songwriters. I’ve connected people. They think I have this busy life. I am appreciated greatly. I keep it together and enjoy moments there immensely but the rest of the week I am in the city alone struggling to do the work to prepare Isolating. I know I have to do it for myself… do you ever feel like you want someone to save you? Put their arms around you and help you get things done? I did have someone in my life who passed that did that for me. When I made a mistake and freaked reminded me it can be okay. just fix it now.
I’m working with someone who wants me to start a podcast for their network. I have opportunities but I can’t function the way I need to. I’m even nervous someone will see I am watching this. I don’t like labels that define us. Maybe this works for you. I am not a mental illness I am a person who suffers. Neither are you, that wasn’t an insult at all. I have great respect or I wouldn’t write this. I Do have a psychiatrist. It’s the personal connection I am longing for. Well just thought I could share this here. Wonderful site. I appreciate the work. Best of health and happiness ☀️
